No Mo Trip

No, your favorite ugly duckling has not slipped into a(n in-)voluntary case of ebonics. What this is is official notice that there will be no Spring Equinox camping trip for this bird.

As disappointed as I am, reason had to win the day over the very typical Cygnuspontanaeity.

Preparations continue at the rate of $2/ day in food storage towards an eventual move. In fact the deadline has been set; one reason for postponing the roadtrip-- camping for four days now would cost me near four months more racing rats, and that's rabid sickness, man...

Another reason is to redouble efforts to get a like-minded family member out of the concrete jungle ahead of schedule... any way I can help only aides me in the long run, i ken... ever needs fall out of the city fast, I have a warm, known spot to skedaddle to...

So while it rips at my soul to have to do it, I gotta do what I gotta do.

And I gotta get out of this place...not sooner 'sooner'; sooner 'later'...

Here's one for ya, Uncle...

Trust me...:P

Slainte!

Cygnus

Sorry to here about the trip.
Do not let it stop you from achieving the dream.
I could not stand to live in a city even when times were better and especially now!

While I love the city, I also love getting out of it.
How can I come back if I don't leave?
Have a little fund myself, for a trip to India. It grows SO SLOWLY.

p.s. And who doesn't love The Animals?

Pearl, my little... Thanks for gracing my site with your presence again! Seriously! :D

India.. sounds exotic! Ah, the stories you'll tell of sandals traded for Kush...

You need a guide, give this Ol' Bird a holler... ;P

Well brother good logic is a damn good skill to have, and you have it. I pays to step back and take another look sometimes even when you don't really want to. It takes a strong mind and heart to make tough decisions like that. I'm sorry your trip is on hold but it sounds like it will be best for you in the long run. Getting out is what you are working on anyway not a 4 day trip. Good for you for understanding what matters most. 99% of the people working toward this would have went anyway and hurt their chances of of total freedom. Sorry but Happy for you at the same time.

Love to you my brother,

Bullseye

You read it all, Bullseye my Brother...

You read true. And that's what i'm a-gonna do... bide my current time and make up for it in the end. Not too long ago, I'd have pressed my luck, too. Glad I'm changing in some ways...

Thanks for the words, my man. Mean a lot, considering the source...

Hey Nephew...very nice song selection...very nice indeed!

Somehow I find more meaning in the song now than I did when it first came out! Wonder why that is...??

Song maturity, I'm guessing, ol Hermit; Gots to be song maturity...

Shame you can't make it Cyg...but you're doin' what must be done. No missin' much at the moment anyway...temps took a nosedive just in time for the weekend and just in time to drive me totally in sane.

Just you work on you and the Hermit headin' my way! ;P

Hello OzarkMomma! So very nice to have you swing by from the Hermit's and browse, Read, and now comment!

Temps here took a turn south-- no pun intended-- too. We're likely getting the assbone end of what yall are... still, wet and cold.

Irony is, I kept smiling all day, thinking "I'd have been prepared for freezing rain in The Hills, and been as happy, just to be THERE."

And would have.

Alas, I'll be better off following Ozark Momma's advice-- and that of the Monkeys!!!

Take care, folks!

Oh man, that sucks. Even if I couldn't go I was looking forward to learning your impressions of the area after you got back. But your decision makes sense. Moving take priority over a quick visit.

Hi Liv! And I was looking forward to getting a U.T. Longhorn shirt on your back... A little southern Hospitality, if you will..

And I will-- get there eventually, my red-headed Lady Incarnate... can already post good reviews given my mom lived in Sedalia for a few, and she raves about the Hills. Gotta trust THAT opinion! HA!:)

Thanks for coming by; hadn't talked of late, so was needing my Indica Fix...

;D

Come again soon, Lady L.!

Hey Ken-- good to see a good man back on the airwaves... or whatever... y' know.

Postponed, yes. That is a good synapsis of where we're at.

Just puttin' feelers out...
