Two Bits...

And Worth Every Penny!
Ha!

Indifferential

a casual observer
no emotion left
remain peripheral
unmoved by life, by death

a heart broken of love
blinded no more by faith
offering no trust
how can Hope hold it's place

jMc aka Cygnus

FAULT

He who points the finger at
the world with bitter scorn
Has trapped inside a blackened heart
irreparably torn;

No longer life-sustaining, this
device so deeply bled
Into his eyes and heart that
he perceives the world, too, dead..

jMc aka Cygnus...

Slainte!

Hmm...hope springs eternal, Sir, does it not?

As for Fault...well..cold, that one, and hard...and terribly sad.

Shade and Sweetwater,
K (who enjoys your poems, Sir, even when they hurt)

Cygnus, Sweetie,

Once again, you've delivered some very poignant works.

Thank you for allowing me glimpses into your Psyche and despite how these works read, I sincerely doubt that Elpis has fled from you entirely. She still visits your heart and soul on occasion, of this I am certain.

Hugs~N~Love

Very strong words, Sir

You've really captured the feeling of love lost and the understanding that hate is not the opposite of love

Indifference is...

Nice catch, Lady K...

The first poem does not signify that hope be lost-- in fact the capitolization of no other word in the poem ("intentional, thank you very much) was another clue-- but hope DOES hold. The question stands "how does Hope hold", not "how does Hope not hold"...

Two points, Lady Felinae-- First, thank you sincerely. Always a pleasure when someone takes pleasure from my words...

Second-- this Elpis of whom you speak...

??

I'm going to Wikipedia right now, after my expansive Dictionary of Ancient Deities failed to proffer clue...

Thanks for stopping in, Woman.

Indifference kills ALL emotion-- love, hate, fear...

Not a happy place to be, indifferent.

As always, a pleasure to know you liked it, Lady Rene...

Peace.

Why, Thank Ye, Old Furt!!

So, in two days I'm deemed a Rogue Prepper-bard...

May we say 21st Century Renaissance man?
