Things That Make You Go "HMMM..."

We recently went to a 'Summer Schedule" at work-- to last thru 19 Sept. From 44 hrs per 5-day week to 40 [and no, I'm NOT complaining. Glad to have the 40 in today's economy, and nice to be headed home an hour earlier Mon.- Thurs.].

But it means no O.T.

Well, last weekend, I went in to complete the company's "Lift Truck" (forklift) safety course.

And today... I was able to fill in for a man in a department next to mine.
My work cohort was at a funeral.

Because Monday his best friend was killed in a forklift accident.

Wow!

I am sorry for your co-workers loss. Please pass along my condolences.

40 hours a week is definitely a good thing in today's economy.

Congrats on passing the safety course, WooHoo!

You, my friend, be safe

Hugs~Felinae~

There's a queer synchronicity to life, isn't there?

I'm sorry for your cohort's loss, for the loss that other man's family feels...

I'll second Miss Falinae's sentiment - hurrah for passing, and you be safe.

Shade and Sweetwater,
K (yes, I'm still up, but since I'm not driving a forklift any time soon...)

Apart from the management I get the most hours where I work and I get between 35-40 hours, most people only get 25-30, so I count myself lucky, specaily because I have to pay for college in this economy.
I am glade that you got to take that class, though it is sad that some one died. I hope everything is working out.

Ken-- exactly, Brother. And even if the piece of paper isn't transferable, the experience darn sure is...

Thanks for the thoughts, man.

Wouldn't wanna miss that opportunity...

Thanks Lady.

Lady K...

Kind of a reminder never to get too "comfortable" when doing something deadly-dangerous...

Like home-schooling little Evil Geniuses...

Thanks for not driving after an all-nighter...ha!

Lasy Aeshe!

What a pleasant visit! I like your newest photo there! You know I can't go to your site without being seriously distracted my your photo roll... But I digress! ha!

Good to get the hours we do, indeed.

Thanks for the visit, my friend.

Bright Blessings...
