Sunflowers are such cheerful things - I'm always glad to see them, turning their faces to the sun, grinning up at him, basking in his light.
On of the loveliest things I saw in France (when I was there a lifetime ago) was field upon field of sunflowers, nodding their heads in the breeze, keeping time to a song only they heard while following Helios on his journey...
You are right on with the "shopping then growth". Allen's mom decided to take advantage of sales one summer and bought him ten pairs of jeans right after school was out.He grew six inches (I'm told) that summer! The sunflowers must be happy there!

Lookin' good! Don't forget to save and dry the flowers for later in the year, makes great wintertime treats for the birds.
I love sunflowers! Be sure to post some pics up when it blooms!
Peace - Rene
The sunflowers are coming up nicely. I would like to see them when they bloom.
